Course overview
Get equipped with cutting-edge analytical and artificial intelligence tools to drive smarter business decisions with the Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Analytics. You will develop foundational knowledge in financial literacy, economic environments, and business law, while building practical skills in data analysis and coding. These capabilities are complemented by specialised knowledge in supply chain analytics, business forecasting, and database modelling, enabling you to extract valuable insights from complex datasets. Students completing this degree will graduate with the award of Bachelor of Commerce. The Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Analytics is subject to approval.
Students will gain experience using data analytics software to solve business problems, manage information systems, and support strategic planning through data warehousing and decision-making tools. With a focus on real-world application, students will explore digital marketing analytics, HR information systems, and the ethical and socially responsible use of data. This major prepares students to transform data into actionable insights and contribute to business strategy across a wide range of industries and organisational contexts.
Practical experience
This degree provides students with practical experience that prepares them for the workforce. Students will gain hands-on experience through Work-Integrated Learning and industry placement programs, as well as immerse themselves in live industry projects with the New Venture Institute and engage with businesses in a real-world environment.

Graduates of the Business Analytics major will be equipped to extract insights from complex datasets, apply analytical tools to solve business problems, and communicate findings to a range of stakeholders. Students will be prepared for roles such as business analyst, business intelligence analyst, systems analyst, management consultant, and business development manager.
