Course overview
This course prepares graduates for music careers as band managers, publicists, tour and event managers, music marketers, and promoters in record or publishing company roles and/or further postgraduate study. It embraces a wide range of business outcomes including copyright, publishing, contract law, marketing, management, data analytics and other transferable business skills. Students will gain hands-on experience in artist management, record label management, and the development and promotion of live shows and booking agency activities. In the third year of the degree, students will participate in an industry internship program. You will gain the skills needed to excel in these professions and is designed to support emerging music professionals with a combination of highly-trained teachers, extraordinary opportunities, and unique experiences including the new Sing Sing East studio and on-campus independent label Tremorverse.
