Course overview
The course is for students wishing to gain employment in sound production. It is designed to expose students to, and teach them a diverse range of sound related skills required for not only the music industry, but the expanding media and broadcast fields. During their studies students will record, produce and mix music, design sound for film, television and theatre, mix live sound for music and other media, develop interactive cross media sound art, write computer based music and work on video games audio and composition. With access to industry standard studios, students will develop folios that include short film sound designs and recorded, produced and mixed musical products. All students undertake a work placement in the final year of their studies. On completion of this course students will be ready for employment in music and sound-related fields.
