Course overview

This course is for students wishing to gain employment in music composition. It is designed to expose students to, and teach them a diverse range of composition related skills required for the music industry, film and media industries and the computer game music areas. Core study areas include Music Theory, Orchestration, Advanced Music Production (DAW), Film Scoring, Sound Design, Aural Training, Music Business and History. Choose from a wide range of performance and audio production electives and take advantage of opportunities to perform in bands, ensembles and choirs. You will have access to state-of-the art computer labs and studio facilities as well as the opportunity to collaborate with other music students in other streams.
