Course overview

Box Hill Institute has been a leader in Australian contemporary music education since 1981. Our reputation for excellence is demonstrated by the success of our alumni. Our graduates have been nominated for, or won Grammy awards, ARIA awards, APRA awards, and Triple J Unearthed. Graduates who have enjoyed industry success include G Flip, members of The Living End and Alpine. Graduates have recorded, produced, or performed with acts such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Meg Mac, Paul Kelly, Angus & Julia Stone, and Marlon Williams.
Students perform in Rock, Pop, Jazz, Soul, Blues, and World Music genres, and will explore both the theoretical and practical side of music via individual instrumental lessons, music production and music business training. Choose from audio production, composition, teaching, and performance electives. Have access to world-class recording facilities, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with composition, audio and business students.
