Course overview

Combining law with criminology allows students to a have a broad theoretical, and applied knowledge concerning the meaning of crime; the forms, causes and consequences of crime; criminal investigation, sentencing, and security, at national and international levels. Students will also develop practical skills in investigating and providing strategic advice in relation to crime and crime management. The Bachelor of Laws component satisfies the academic requirements to become an Australian Lawyer, as required by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB). In order to become an Australian Lawyer, graduates are also required to complete Practical Legal Training or an equivalent, post graduation.
