Bachelor of Food Technology and Nutrition

As a Food Technology & Nutrition student you learn how to develop novel, healthy and functional food products that meet consumer demands and comply with strict safety and health guidelines, majoring in food science and technology, nutrition science or both. The nutrition science major focuses on human health, community nutrition & entrepreneurship, while the food science and technology major explores traditional & novel technologies employed in the manufacturing of food products, and sensory evaluation of foods, product development & quality assurance. This course includes work integrated learning activities, where you’ll apply your learning in a workplace context (real or simulated) & prepare for an exciting and challenging career in the food industry.  You'll have access to world-class Food Innovation & Research Centre, where you'll apply skills in food formulation and design in our food processing pilot plants, food analysis & characterisation laboratory & consumer testing suites.
