As an RMIT Biomedical Science student you will learn about the human body and how it functions, as well as disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure.
This degree will allow you to develop a broad understanding of human anatomy, physiology and pathology from cellular to systems level. You will learn about the roles played by different cell types, and about neuroscience, cancer, pharmacology, genetic engineering and using stem cells.
You will have the opportunity to complete a specialist minor in Medical Biotechnology or Clinical Health, and in your final year you will acquire an understanding of the research process, as well as gain experience with modern technologies used in biomedical research.
The course is an ideal preparation for graduate entry into health sciences courses such as medicine, physiotherapy, and dentistry, allowing you to meet all the necessary prerequisites.
