RMIT's electronic & computer systems engineering and business double degree goes beyond the theory to put concepts into practice. You'll work on projects to develop skills in the design, development, production, maintenance & operation of all things to do with electronic, embedded systems & computer-based devices, while also developing business skills critical to success in the international market. You can specialise in either Computer Systems & Network Engineering or Electronic & Communication Engineering, and tailor your business studies by completing a major in your chosen interest area. This course provides you with knowledge of electronic circuit design, microcontrollers, digital communications, computer networks, & the Engineering principles behind sensing systems from gas sensing to radar and remote sensing. You’ll gain the skills to create new opportunities for businesses, driving new technologies, devising engineering solutions to make businesses more competitive.

Standard entry

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 27 in English as an Additional Language; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
