Course overview

This course will equip students with the broad knowledge and skills they need to pursue a career in creative industries with a focus on media and entertainment production. Students will prepare for and undertake media production projects, assist others in productions, and work as part of a production team. With emphasis on practical production activities students will learn how to produce screen and media content with professional production values for a range of platforms and distribution destinations. Coursework will include professional communication, production management and collaboration methods, and will survey and review trends in screen and media production and distribution - both local and international. The practical nature of the program and its close contact with industry builds skills and confidence to enter a range of professional screen and media roles.
