Course overview

The MSc/MBA double-degree course combines the financial and economic resource sector focus of the Master of Science with the internationally accredited business acumen of the award-winning MBA course. Students are provided with a thorough foundation in resource sector management and contemporary business theories. The curriculum has a highly applied practical focus and seeks to equip graduates with a range of analytical and managerial skills.

Entry requirements

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

Specifically, applicants require a bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution and at least three years subsequent, relevant work experience.

Graduates from either the Curtin Graduate Certificate in Business or the Curtin Graduate Certificate in Mineral and Energy Economics will be considered qualified for entry.

Applicants for a MSci (Mineral & Energy Economics/MBA are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards (IELTS requirement of 6.5 overall (with no individual band less than 6)).

Entry to the course is competitive and applicants will be required to undertake an interview as the final stage of application assessment.
