ProviderCurtin UniversityMaster Degrees (Research) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for research, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications. This research course develops through the conduct of a supervised research project the ability of a suitably qualified candidate to contribute to the knowledge and practice of engineering. At the completion of the assigned project the candidate submits a written thesis presenting the results of their work and discussing the significance for the pertinent field of engineering. The thesis is examined according to the Universitys Regulations for the Degree of Master (by research) (refer to General Information section).
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Specifically, applicants require a recognised bachelor of engineering degree at honours level.
Applications will be considered from other well qualified graduates who are able to present acceptable evidence of their ability to undertake research projects.
In such cases, admission may be subject to successful completion of a prescribed qualifying program.
If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
