Course overview

This course prepares you for a career in the many facets of professional photography including digital imaging, video and content production. There's a focus on professional practice and contemporary skills for the industry.  You learn foundation skills, explore a range of photographic genres including street, portraiture, fashion, sports, landscape and can major in commercial, art photography or documentary/photojournalism. You develop deep technical, visual and post-production skills while creating and producing a range of portfolios and brief based photography. Studio photography, post-production and video are integral and you undertake a real world project, publishing and exhibiting your work. In final year you produce a job ready ‘capstone’ folio project in your chosen major. You are connected to the photography industry through extended professional practice, including the mentor program, advanced workshops and, job and marketing practices you’ll need to establish your career.
