Course overview
The Diploma of Fashion is a one-year full time (part time equivalent) course designed to provide graduates with foundational knowledge in the fashion design industry generally, as well as some more in-depth knowledge of selected aspects of the industry which is achieved through elective choices to provide the graduates with a foundation for entry level employment in the fashion industry, specifically in the field of study of their elective choice. Students will complete 6 core subjects and 2 elective subjects.

Advanced Standing
Graduates of the Diploma of Fashion who wish to continue their studies in the TAFE NSW Bachelor of Fashion Design can apply for credit transfer of some subjects in the Bachelor.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this course will have the skills to work in entry level roles in the fashion industry. Students will select electives to support entry into their preferred industry sector. Our graduates go onto roles like: design room assistant, junior product developer, fashion PR assistant, junior merchandiser and textile print designer.
