Our Bachelor of Science is for those who are interested in understanding the world and how it works. Students have the opportunity to learn in world-class facilities, including our nanoscience and chemistry laboratories, and mathematics access grid room. By combining Science with Entrepreneurship, you’ll develop strategies to bring your big ideas to reality. Students develop an understanding of the processes, risks and rewards of entrepreneurial ventures across the globe. Be inspired to drive innovation that influences markets, economies and communities.
The Science component of the program is delivered from the Newcastle (Callaghan) campus. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship component is delivered from our state-of-the-art Newcastle city location, NUspace.

If you have undertaken previous studies at another higher education institution or registered training organisation, you may be awarded credit towards your undergraduate degree. You must apply for admission before applying for credit.

Couple studies of accounting, finance, management, business development and innovation with a major in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental sciences, geography, or mathematics and statistics.
Other Information
Professional recognition
Recognised by the Australian Institute of Physics (Physics major). Graduates with a statistics major are eligible for graduate accreditation on becoming a member of the Statistical Society of Australia.
Practical experience
Real-world, practical experience is fundamental to this combined degree program. You’ll complete training and hands-on experience in a specialist area, including extensive laboratory work. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake individual research or industry work experience, take part in problem-based learning, seminar presentations and workshops.

Entry requirements
Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
IB Diploma
24Use the ATAR 65 band together with the relevant qualification and prerequisite requirements.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
