Professional recognition
Graduates who complete the accredited Physics major are eligible for accreditation through The Australian Institute of Physics (AIP).
Graduates who complete the accredited Statistics major are eligible for accreditation on becoming a member of the Statistical Society of Australia.
Practical experience
Students will participate in lab work to develop their analytical and communication skills. Depending on chosen majors, students will attend field trips, seminars and workshops. Career-ready placement opportunities are available. Examples include volunteering with Oakvale Wildlife Park, the Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre, or working with our researchers on a deep-sea voyage.

- Applicants with recent secondary education Assumed knowledge: Mathematics Advanced. Recommended studies: One or more of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics (depending on the major). If you have not previously studied one or more of these subjects or have limited knowledge in them, we strongly encourage you to consider enrolling in bridging courses.
