Course overview
The Undergraduate Certificate Foundations of Allied Health introduces students to the fundamental knowledge of the responsibility of health providers and the current health care system, as well as understanding the human body and mind. This will allow students to gain the knowledge to successfully contribute to a role within the health care sector. Students will be able to take these flexible skills into the workplace or continue to the Diploma of Health Science, leading to a varietyof allied health and nursing degrees offered at the University of South Australia.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 11 (Stage 1) or year 12 (Stage 2) qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma), and achieve a competitive selection rank. Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE Stage 1 (year 11) or SACE Stage 2 (year 12) qualification or equivalent, or Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), or Employment experience If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service.
