A Bachelor of Business Information Systems combines data, technology and people skills. Build the expertise to interpret information to solve workplace problems. This degree focuses on the introduction and development of skills to prepare you for a career as an information systems professional. You will learn critical academic skills, as well as knowledge and applications of a variety of information systems and how they impact businesses. As well as the 16 core subjects, the Bachelor of Business Information Systems includes eight elective subjects so you can tailor your degree to suit your career goals. This course is a candidate for accreditation with the ACBSP.

Areas of Study: App, web design and development, cyber security, data and networking, database fundamentals, foundations of information systems, information systems for business, information systems project management planning, systems analysis and design. Students can also choose electives in the areas of business-to-business marketing, customer experience management, ethics and sustainability, event concepts and designs and, understanding public relations.
Career Opportunities: Business analyst, business development management, business process analyst, business requirements analysis, database designer/administrator/programmer.

Standard entry
- Recent secondary Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or equivalent recent year 12 qualification (including the International Baccalaureate Diploma). Higher Ed Completed or partially completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Completed a University Foundation Studies, Bridging or Enabling program Work-Life Other Completed a non-recent SACE or equivalent secondary education qualification with a competitive selection rank, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), or STAT multiple choice test (optional), or Personal competencies and/or employment experience (optional) If you have studied at higher education level in the last two years, you must not have accumulated more than a total of two full-time years of higher education study in order to use your STAT/PCA/Employment results. If you have been employed in the Australian Defence Force you may be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course on the basis of your service. See here .
