Are you looking to become an IT professional ready to manage and innovate in any challenging business IT environment? As a graduate of this degree, you will be well placed to act as the bridge between the business needs of an organisation and the computing professionals required to provide the technical solutions. The Bachelor of Information Technology (Business and Information Systems) is accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the professional level and is recognised internationally under the Seoul Accord. Graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered status as ICT professionals.
This degree provides education in both the theoretical and practical aspects of information technology and enterprise systems management, preparing graduates for roles such as business analyst, ICT project manager or consultant. Students can study both business and information technology topics, design enterprise systems and work with external partners to develop business systems for a wide range of industries. They will have the opportunity to engage with multi-disciplinary teams from across the University in the design and construction of information systems, gaining insight into the current trends in enterprise systems and its use.
City Campus
Flinders City Campus offers a broad range of study areas and is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, the City Campus provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility.
Practical experience
This degree provides students with the opportunity to gain first-hand industry experience with a 12-week industry placement preparing them for the workforce and giving them the opportunity to build industry connections and develop practical skills, ensuring they are career ready.
