You'll explore a broad range of creative topics, including post-production, digital visual effects, animation, gaming and interactive media. Flinders' city campus at Festival Plaza is a place where potential meets possibility. Offering a broad range of study areas, this unique, modern space in the heart of Adelaide is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, Festival Plaza provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility when selecting their preferred study location.

If you have been granted credit transfer or wish to apply for credit transfer for this course on the basis of previous study and you are granted credit, this may mean you will not be able to enrol in Year 2 or higher year topics, nor able to enrol on a full-time basis until 2025.

The Bachelor of Creative Industries (Digital Media) aims to develop the creativity, strategic thinking, business capability and practical skills required for success in the creative and cultural industries sector and specifically in the design and development of digital media and promote the ability to work adaptively with new media and disruptive technologies in a fast-changing technologically driven industry environment. This degree provides experience in working collaboratively, as part of an interdisciplinary creative team.

On completion of the degree students will be able to apply theories of creative production and cultural value to analyse digital media and critically evaluate digital media projects in terms of their feasibility, sustainability and cultural and societal outcomes. Students will be able to develop and deliver creative industries projects to work independently and collaboratively and determine a range of partnership opportunities and funding sources for creative industries projects and events. Students will be able to interpret and critically evaluate contemporary policy for the creative arts and industries and combine skills in creative development, project management and marketing and apply them while delivering digital media projects.

This degree prepares graduates for careers in games, entertainment and digital media. Potential occupations may include concept artist, production manager and illustrator; potential employers may include software developers, news and media corporations.
