The Bachelor of Information Technology has been designed to provide a strong foundation in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of information technology and information systems management. This degree contains a strong, practical understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and the ability to critically analyse and evaluate complex information and solve problems. It also provides an awareness of social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects of information technology and preparation for future management roles as an information technologist.

This degree also offers specialisations in the following five areas: Business & Information Systems (SATAC code 284441), Data Analytics (SATAC code 284451), Game Development (SATAC code 284461), Machine Learning (SATAC code 284471) and Network & Cybersecurity Systems (SATAC code 284481).

Practical experience

This degree provides students with the opportunity to gain first-hand industry experience with a 12-week industry placement preparing them for the workforce and giving them the opportunity to build industry connections and develop practical skills, ensuring they are career ready.

Flinders City Campus offers a broad range of study areas and is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, the City Campus provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility.
