Bachelor of Education (Secondary)

As an Initial Teacher Education degree, successful completion of the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) enables you to apply for registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia

And will be work-ready, with teaching placements in secondary schools learning practical skills, putting theory into practice and developing important relationships with students, parents and colleagues

Students can choose from a variety of teaching specialisations in key focus areas such as Accounting, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Drama, History, Geography, Physics, Languages, Mathematics and Visual Arts.

Enabling Educator Excellence Scholarship

Commencing students in this degree will be eligible to apply for the Enabling Educator Excellence (E3) Scholarship funded by the South Australian Government valued at $5,000. Practical experience

Professional experience is a critical component of pre-service teacher education as it enables students to integrate theory and practice. Over the four years, students are required to complete a minimum of 80 days of Professional Experience.
