This course is delivered at the Danala - Education and Community Precinct (ECP) campus in intensive mode. The course focuses on building the essential academic and teaching skills youll need to succeed at uni and in the classroom.

What youll study

Youll do core units in language and literacy, plus choose from one of two study paths:

• Early Childhood and Primary Education
• First Nations Cultural and Language Education

No matter which path you choose, youll be supported every step of the way. This course is designed for beginners and helps build your confidence and skills for further university study.

Where this course can take you

When you finish, you can use the units you've passed as credit towards further study in:

• Diploma of Educational Studies
• Associate Degree of First Nations Cultural and Language Education
• Bachelor of Education Early Childhood and Primary

You can also use this certificate to apply for other uni courses. If you go on to further study, you might get credit (advanced standing) for some or all of the units youve already completed. Just check the course details of your next degree to confirm what transfers over.
