Course overview

In this dual degree students will develop a deep knowledge in computer science and broad transferable skill sets through their study in arts. Studies in computer science will combine the theory of algorithms and data structures with the practical challenges of implementing them in hardware and software systems. Skills learnt in this program are used in fields ranging from bioinformatics to digital humanities, where sophisticated knowledge in programming and data analysis are used to manipulate massive data sets. The Bachelor of Arts component allows students to choose from a wide variety of majors to either complement their computer science studies or their knowledge in another field, which can help them find a future role in a related industry. The broad skill set developed through the program will help students apply their computing knowledge and skills outside of the technology sector. Graduates will combine technical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with polished communication skills and honed creativity.
