Course overview
In the higher education diploma year, students develop fundamental academic skills and cement their knowledge in foundation subjects, core concepts and skills required for a career in health. Students strive to build a healthy society by applying new scientific knowledge to medicine and healthcare as a biomedical scientist. On successful completion of the diploma, students progress into the Bachelor of Biomedical Science with credit. At university, students develop knowledge and skills in the biological and clinical sciences, emphasising their application to biomedical research, medicine and healthcare services.
