Course overview
The Diploma of Bioscience introduces biology, physiology, and ecology, and will set you on a path to gain the knowledge to help solve global issues.
Subject to successfully completing the diploma with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 70%, students articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Animal Veterinary and Biosciences at La Trobe University.
You'll learn about the structure, functions, and interactions of living organisms, and begin to discuss some big issues such as climate change, the protection of endangered animals, and cancer treatment.
The bachelor’s degree offers a strong scientific foundation to work with both domesticated and captive wild animals. Your studies will go beyond animal health to include ecology, genetics, biotechnology, and animal physiology.
