The world’s agriculture industry faces many challenges including climate change, a growing world population and changing resource conditions. Our Bachelor of Agriculture and Technology - Agronomy Major, focuses on innovative solutions to current and future industry issues, preparing you for an exciting and increasingly in-demand career path in commercial plant production. This course offers a unique vocational degree that has been designed with industry input to meet industry needs. You will study in facilities at an accessible rural setting, including our commercial-standard property in Eden Park - a mixed farming operation, demonstrating mixed pasture and broad-acre cropping, as well as cattle, sheep, and pasture production facilities. This qualification provides an essential base for a career as an agronomist, with a unique experience that opens doors direct to industry. This course consists of 24 subjects which includes 8 Core, 8 Major Core, and 8 Elective subjects.
