Course overview
This degree program is a four year program with plenty of career options. The program offers an exit point with an Associate Degree after two years of full-time study or equivalent of part-time studies. This exit point provides the students with the opportunity to enter the industry and gain employment at entry level and continue their studies on a part-time basis. At the third year of the program, students specialise in one of three streams. In the Structural engineering stream you specialise in the design of concrete, steel and timber structures in buildings and other civil structures. In the Municipal and transportation stream, you will be responsible for designing, constructing and maintaining transportation systems and infrastructure assets. In the construction management stream, you will acquire the knowledge and develop the skills to plan, construct and manage large infrastructure projects such as highways, airports, ports, dams, bridges, mines and complex building projects.
