Course overview

This three-year course develops the practical skills from theoretical underpinnings necessary for managerial roles in the dynamic hospitality industry. It prepares graduates for work in a variety of organisations including hotels, resorts, conference and convention centres. Students are required to complete a common core of business and management subjects, specialist hospitality and event subjects and hospitality electives, where they are encouraged to apply theory to practical contexts. For Associate Degree students, upon successful completion of the two-year course, students may be permitted to transfer to the Bachelor of Hospitality Management. Third year includes significant professional workplace experience, enabling students to apply their learning in practical contexts.
