Course overview
The Bachelor of Applied Music blends creativity with real-world application and prepares students for a wide range of careers in music teaching, production, performance, mixed-media arts, and community projects.
This course focuses on four interconnected study areas:
instrumental music teaching; how music contributes to personal and social wellbeing; creative digital music production, video and streaming, and AI music; performance skills, music theory, arranging and songwriting. Year 1 builds foundational musicianship and academic skills. Years 2 and 3 add multidisciplined studies in wellbeing, teaching, and digital music and video production. A major graduating project is undertaken in the final year. Minor studies in other creative disciplines such as visual art, writing, digital media, psychology and Aboriginal studies may be undertaken as part of this degree.

PLUS: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English (or equivalent).
