Course overview
This double degree provides students with the opportunity to combine studies in psychology with a qualification in law. A background in psychology together with a law qualification will enhance a student's employability. The combined degree equips graduates with an understanding of themselves and others, including clients and those involved in the legal field. You'll be provided with a global and social justice perspective and an understanding of human behaviour, motivation, relationships, communication and cognitive processes.
You are required to meet the academic requirements to enter the Psychology Honours sixth year, which builds on the scientist-practitioner model of psychology with emphasis on research training and transition to independent and professional levels of activity. You will be provided with advanced training in psychology-specific research methods and coursework including professional ethics, and will complete a research thesis.
