This course prepares students for employment in both business and sport, and active recreation sectors including elite and professional sport, delivering skills for building sporting communities and developing social enterprises. Graduates will have the skills and competencies to optimise customer and participant satisfaction, build sustainable communities, and deliver social value. The course also covers team-sport management, facility administration, and community activity programming.
Graduates can enter a range of administrative, management, and professional-support positions in governing bodies, sport clubs, sport facilities, sport events, local government, community welfare agencies, outdoor adventure, adventure sports, and outdoor education settings. The course provides unique learning situations that build capabilities, including the capacity to plan, organise, program and lead complex activities at the highest professional level.
