ATAR
This course uses the ATAR as part of its selection considerations.
Satisfactory completion of a Year 12
To be eligible for entry to this course applicants must be completing an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia at the time of application in Australia (or outside Australia only if an Australian citizen) and achieved an ATAR (or notional ATAR) around 95.00 or above.
Prerequisites (for specific majors)
Applies to applicants who intend to complete one of the following majors in the Bachelor of Design: Civil Engineering Systems, Computing and Software Systems, Construction, Digital Infrastructure Engineering Systems or Mechanical Engineering Systems.
Year 12 Prerequisite
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in Mathematical Methods (or equivalent).
If the subject is not completed in Year 12 students may undertake a bridging subject in mathematics as breadth in first year (with prerequisite of Units 1 and 2 Mathematical Methods).
Compulsory: This prerequisite applies to applicants who intend to complete the Property major.
Mathematical knowledge equivalent to any VCE Mathematics subject is required for the Property Major.
Young Applicants
Applicants who will be aged less than 17 years old at the start of the semester, may be required to attend an interview to determine whether their age may adversely affect their ability to successfully undertake the course.
