This accelerated program allows you to qualify as a veterinarian in 6 years. The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is usually a 4-year degree, but this graduate degree package grants you one year of credit as you will complete Veterinary Bioscience subjects in a Bachelor of Science. It guarantees students a Commonwealth Supported Place or International Fee Place in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. 

To progress to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students will need to:
  • complete the first and second years of the Bachelor of Science, including specified prerequisite subjects;
  • achieve a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 70% across all level 1 subjects and 70% across all level 2 subjects;
  • Personal statement to be submitted as well as satisfactory performance in Situation Judgement Test;
  • enrol in the Veterinary Bioscience major.
