Digitalisation and Industry 4.0 demands fresh new skills and knowledge which can be transferred to the workforce of the future.

This associate degree is an engineering and digital technologies course developed in conjunction with our industry partners. It will equip you with essential professional and technical skills in advanced manufacturing. You’ll study on campus at Swinburne, while also spending time with an industry partner.

You'll learn how to implement cyber physical systems using digital twin, artificial intelligence, Augmented Reality, mobile devices, cloud computing, CAD\CAM, advanced programming, analytics, electronics, automation and robotics, cybersecurity, networking and Industrial Internet of Things.

Graduates will be paraprofessionals within the engineering and technology industries with a focus on advanced manufacturing. The types of roles may include service technician or mechatronic/manufacturing technologist.

  • Current Year 12 graduates Educational outcomes considered for selection Applicants who have completed the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification will be considered. Bridging and enabling courses Applicants who do not meet the mathematics prerequisites for this course will be required to successfully complete Swinburne's MathsLink Further bridging program prior to the final VTAC round to be considered for this course. Educational history An applicant's entire academic history, including Year 12 results, VET and higher education study, will be considered for entry into this course.
