Course overview

Computer networks are part of our daily life – so much so that an hour-long outage can cost organisations hundreds and millions of dollars. Unlock the power of advanced networking with a major designed to closely align with Cisco's Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Certified Network Professional (CCNP) standards. Deep dive into key technical areas such as network design and architecture, routing and switching, and network troubleshooting. With a strong emphasis on security and cloud networking, you'll graduate equipped to protect and optimise modern networks and ready to work in almost any industry. The Bachelor of Information Technology gives you hands-on skills across programming, networking, databases, systems analysis and design, and project management. You’ll be able to choose a major in areas aligned to future industry growth, including artificial intelligence, cloud analytics, data science, network engineering or software engineering.
