You will graduate well prepared for professional engineering practice, ready to enter the workforce in civil, electrical and renewable energy, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering. Designed for problem solvers who want to make a positive impact, Deakin’s engineering degree combines strong scientific foundations with practical, project-based approaches to learning. From your first year, you will work on collaborative engineering challenges that develop your design thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills while connecting engineering knowledge to industry and society. You will complete 60 days of professional practice in an engineering workplace and build valuable industry connections. ** You may opt to do 30 days of placement plus Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if you have prior or current work experience as an engineer equipping you with the skills and confidence to begin your engineering career.
