You will explore the causes of crime and different techniques used to control crime, within the broader context of the criminal justice system. Develop specific knowledge in various crime types, including street crime, crimes in the home, serious and organised crime, transnational crime and terrorism. You will also explore key topic areas such as victims of crime, media representations of crime, surveillance and privacy, policing and security; and theoretical and practical skills in understanding and responding to crime problems.
