Course overview

This double degree provides the legal knowledge and practical skills to handle the demands of 21st Century legal practice coupled with an understanding of the humanities and social sciences. Your studies will focus on developing practical commercial legal knowledge and an awareness of the international dimensions of law, while promoting critical thinking, ethical decision-making and social justice principles, coupled with a broader understanding of the humanities and social sciences. The degree aims to develop ethical and professionally skilled graduates with a breadth of knowledge in areas relevant to legal practice and an appreciation of the law's interaction with other disciplines as well as its international dimensions. The core content is built around themes of commercial legal practice, international and human rights law and ethical practice, with a commitment to social justice and engagement with the community through a pro bono practical placement program.
