Course overview
The Diploma of Renewable Engineering is a one-year full time (part time equivalent) course designed to meet the needs of the renewable energy industry by providing a pathway for individuals with a relevant trade or qualification to upskill themselves with the knowledge and skills required to work in the renewable energy sector. Alternatively, the Diploma provides sufficient foundational knowledge for commencing students who wish to transition later into higher level related tertiary studies.
The course covers wind and solar technologies, their operational characteristics and integration challenges. The course requires students to undertake design related projects providing students with practical skills that will translate to industry practice.

Advanced Standing
Students who have successfully completed a vocational education and training (VET) program in a related field at Certificate IV level may be eligible to apply for advanced standing in the Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering. The amount of advanced standing granted will be determined based on the relevance of the VET units of competency completed by the student.
