Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours)

Environmental science is a practical and multi-disciplinary science that spans the biophysical, geochemical and social sciences and focuses on the interaction between the living and non-living elements of the world, including the role of human impacts. Learn how to assess, research and manage a wide range of environmental issues while you provide solutions to emerging environmental problems. These include climate change, biodiversity, water quality, resource management, waste and pollution and environmental protection and conservation.

You will learn core fundamentals in the first year of your degree before deciding which major discipline to focus on from the second year. You will participate in practical classes in our purpose- built Sciences Teaching Facility and be exposed to honours-level content integrated throughout the course as you explore topics such as climate change, biodiversity and more. Throughout this degree, you will gain hands-on experience, make meaningful professional connections and have the opportunity for practical fieldwork-based projects, or traditional research projects.
