Course overview
The Bachelor of Agriculture from Charles Sturt University will provide you with education across all major disciplines that underpin modern agricultural industries including soil, plant and livestock science and
management, digital agriculture, agribusiness and farm practice change. With a science- base, the course also focuses on contemporary, relevant and practical issues facing modern agriculture, producers, agribusiness and the environment.
Walk to Charles Sturt University’s 2,000 hectare Global Digital Farm managed to national standards in best management practice and be hands on with our commercial sheep, beef and broadacre cropping enterprises. Get hands-on with our computer facilities, precision agriculture technologies, the most sophisticated underground root growth laboratory (rhyzolysimeter) in the Southern Hemisphere, our commercial sheep and cattle operations, and animal-handling facilities. Develop strong practical skills in our mixed farms and agricultural research institutions and modern laboratories and glasshouse.
Gain international experience through our annual agricultural study tours or international exchanges through Charles Sturt University global. Build skills in consultancy, entrepreneurship and leadership.

Practical experience
3 weeks of workplace learning within industry in addition to unlimited, voluntary work experience opportunities supported by Charles Sturt University's Career Services. Hands-on experience on the university's on-campus 2,000 hectare commercial mixed farm following national standards in best management practice.

If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result.
