Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised)
The Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised) is a practical degree providing learning across a broad area of health and medical disciplines, designed to articulate with UWA’s health professional degrees. Multiple specialisations within the biomedical disciplines are offered to enable breadth and depth of learning in your field of interest, including Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing, Human Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology Microbiology and Pathology.

The UWA Doctor of Medicine (MD) aims to produce graduates committed to the wellbeing of the patient, community and society as responsible, accountable, scholarly, capable, caring and culturally safe doctors. This course prepares graduates with the clinical and professional attributes required for successful internships and future training. The Doctor of Medicine (91850) is accredited by The Australian Medical Council (AMC). Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration to practice as a doctor in Australia and New Zealand.

Students who complete the Integrated Medical Sciences and Clinical Practice extended major (IMSCP) are eligible for one year of credit towards the Doctor of Medicine
Integrated Medical Sciences and Clinical Practice (Extended Major)This extended major is only available to students who are offered an Assured Pathway to the Doctor of Medicine. It draws on all biomedical and clinical disciplines to integrate understanding of human health and disease. February intake only.

Entry requirements
Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
IB Diploma
24-26Use the ATAR 70 band together with the relevant qualification and prerequisite requirements.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
