The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Assured) program* into Doctor of Medicine offers an assured entry pathway for aspiring doctors into Notre Dame’s Doctor of Medicine postgraduate degree. Students in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Assured) program must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 each semester during the completion of their undergraduate Biomedical Science degree.
Biomedical Science is a 3 year undergraduate degree that explores a wide range of scientific disciplines that focus on the human body in the context of health and disease. The program begins with anatomy and physiology, molecular and cell biology, microbiology and biochemistry. In the final year we focus on immunology, pathology, genetics, neuroscience and infectious diseases. The degree covers all the modern scientific principles and exposes the student to contemporary scientific techniques that have been used by biomedical scientists to develop innovative diagnostic techniques or novel treatments for disease. Importantly the training helps you to develop critical thinking skills for scientific analysis. Students undertake an industry based practicum program in the final year of the program to help produce industry ready graduates capable of working in many areas of Biomedical Science.
Students in this degree will have the opportunity to transfer to the Bachelor of Advanced Biomedical Science (Honours), which may enhance opportunities for research, leadership and specialisation within the medical field. Successful applicants will be eligible to undertake the Doctor of Medicine in NSW or WA, which includes Sydney, Fremantle and the Kimberley Centre for Rural Medical Training (Broome) locations.
Offers for this program will include CSP (Commonwealth Support Places) for both the undergraduate Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree, and the postgraduate Doctor of Medicine degree.

Entry requirements
Switch between domestic ATAR data and international qualification equivalents.
Use the domestic ATAR data for now, or ask Achieva AI to assess your background manually.
If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
