Course overview
Students study their preferred areas of specialisation concurrent with a suite of core education units that address key educational needs of young people. Students graduating from this course will have the flexibility to take up employment in both private and government secondary schools.
This major prepares students to take on the challenges of teaching a range of Design and Technology subjects across Years 7 to 12. It provides a strong theoretical foundation for the study and practice of design and technology across a variety of media and technologies. The focus of the study will be on the design process, including the practical manipulation of materials and systems designs within the context of contemporary technologies.
