Gain a specialised nursing qualification. Study our flexible online Master of Nursing program. Learn to adapt to the challenging and dynamic landscape of professional nursing. If you are a registered nurse looking to move into more challenging nursing roles, you can upskill by choosing one of five specialty areas to study. These include advanced practice, leadership and management, research, teaching and learning and custodial health. Gaining a specialised qualification related to your clinical area may be recognised as professional development. It may also meet the requirements for you to receive a continuing education allowance under your relevant industrial award.

Entry requirements

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

Domestic Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with Honours; or a postgraduate qualification; or a minimum of one year's experience as as a Registered Nurse.

International Applicants must be a Registered Nurse in their own country, with a postgraduate qualification (equivalent to AQF level 8 or higher); or A minimum of one year's work experience as a Registered Nurse.

Work experience can be identified through: a detailed Curriculum Vitae, and a statement of service or signed letters from employers confirming roles, duties and period of employment.

Accepted work experience is not required to be undertaken full time.

English requirement
IELTS Academic 6.5

If your current English result is below direct entry, consider the university-recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package; successful completion at the required level can usually satisfy English entry without another English test.
