If you’re a registered midwife, study our Master of Midwifery Studies program and gain a deeper understanding of contemporary midwifery theories and practices. This will prepare you for leadership roles in midwifery, models of care, and maternity services. We are one of the few Australian universities that offers a Masters coursework qualification for midwives. You can choose a pathway that suits you by selecting one of the specialisations offered.

Entry requirements

Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.

Postgraduate entry

  • Domestic applicants must be a Midwife holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). International applicants must be a Midwife or a Registered Nurse working in a maternity environment in their own country, with a minimum of one year's experience as documented in a professional curriculum vitae.
