Entry requirements
Postgraduate and higher courses usually use academic prerequisites, degree equivalence and English-language requirements.
Postgraduate entry
- Entry into this course requires a Bachelor of Architecture, or equivalent, and a credit (or above) grade average in the architecture design studios in the second and third year of the undergraduate degree. If the credit (or above) grade average is not met a portfolio, submitted with the application, that indicates the design ability of the candidate may be used to determine admission eligibility. Other students with an Architecture degree or equivalent may be admitted on permission of the course convener.
- A supporting portfolio is highly recommended to any student with a below credit average grade. The portfolio should demonstrate the final four semesters of studio work or equivalent professional experience. If the student's current English result is below the direct-entry requirement, consider the university's recognised English language pathway or ELICOS package. When the student successfully completes the approved pathway at the required level, the university may accept that pathway for English entry without requiring a new IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result. Always confirm exclusions for professional registration courses and the offer conditions.
