Course overview
This course provides students with a strong understanding of what it means to be an architect in a globalised and dynamic world. Contextually informed by its location in the designed capital city of Canberra, our program focuses on architecture and the city; exploring the ways in which design studio, history and theory, technology, sustainability, digital production and communication methods come together in the analysis and generation of built form.
At the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) we design and offer courses to ensure that our graduates are employment ready and can reach the full potential of their career with professional knowledge and skills, critical and creative thinking, and excellent communication, collegiality and ethical practice. These qualities are enhanced by unique work integrated learning opportunities and leave our graduates well placed to make a positive contribution to a more sustainable built environment.
