Graduate Diplomas prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications. The course provides a knowledge and understanding of core areas of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy. It is designed for non-metallurgy scientists or engineers who wish to pursue a career in the minerals industry as an extractive metallurgist.

Specifically, applicants require an Australian recognised bachelor degree in an engineering or science discipline, excluding extractive metallurgy or equivalent qualifications.
